Anna and Jim's Story

June 23rd, 2018 - Published by Barb

There’s no better way to bring in the spring season than with our Spring at the Silos event! This is a free event where we close down the streets surrounding the Silos and bring in vendors and food trucks from all around the country for a unique shopping experience.

If you weren’t able to make it out to this year’s event, or if you just want to relive these beautiful floral displays that our visual and events teams put together, we’ve documented the whole weekend for you to check out.

So much goes into the planning and installation of our event displays. This year, we went with a tamed overgrowth look to reflect the display inside the Market and play off of the spring Magnolia Journal cover. For the entrance, the green jeep and a few photo ops throughout the grounds, we installed floral displays made up of a greenery base that was finished off with a mix of both handmade and fresh flowers.

We hosted 50 vendors from all across the country at this year’s vendor fair. These artisans and craftsmen are handpicked to come share their art, wares, and products, and this is hands down the highlight of the event. Everything from jewelry and home decor to dresses and hats—even plenty of gifts for the guys made their way to the Silos this year!

The food trucks at the event kept everyone coming back for more. They were serving up everything from gourmet waffles and sliders to safe-to-eat cookie dough and donuts. Spring at the Silos is a celebration of the most beautiful and colorful season of all. We loved ringing it in with so many guests from all over.‍‍‍ Thank you so much to all who came, and be sure to stay tuned to hear about more of our upcoming events!
