Why should I hire a wedding planner?

Many newly engaged couples don’t know where to begin when planning their wedding. They may be confused about how much a wedding costs or how to choose vendors. Planning a wedding is much more than selecting color schemes, pretty florals, and menu choices. There are logistical matters like timing of events, transportation, contracts, and knowing which reputable vendors to choose. A lot of details and meticulous organization happen behind the scenes to make a wedding run smoothly. We are here to guide you in the right direction and take the stress out of wedding planning.We are able to help save you time and money so you can enjoy your wedding day!

Can I afford a wedding planner?

The real question is can you afford to not hire a wedding planner? A wedding planner not only saves you time and stress, but also saves you a lot of money. For instance, we’ve had a couple that came to us in search of a venue. They had a few venues in mind, but after hiring Artistry Designs, we helped them find their perfect venue. The venue that they chose had the exact beachfront view, elegant reception room, and delicious menu that they were looking for. They even saved $1,500 compared to the other venues they had in mind. How did we do that? We listened to their wants and needs. Instead of just offering them a long list of venues to blindly choose from, we took the time to research the top venues in the area and matched them with the venue that best fit their needs. We also have over 15 years of experience in the wedding industry and great relationships with vendors in our area, so they give out clients amazing deals!

Will you take over my wedding?

At Artistry Designs, we will provide you with as much or as little guidance as you need. If you require more assistance and want us to help plan the entire wedding from start to finish, we can do that. We will sit down with you in order to get a sense of your personal style, learn about your expectations, create a design board, and develop a plan for your event. We hope to encourage your creativity and be a lifeline for you during the entire planning process. We will be the experts to ensure that your special day is exactly how you envisioned it to be! You will ALWAYS have the final approval with anything regarding your wedding. We will give you plenty of options, we will do all the legwork, we will offer suggestions, but ultimately this is YOUR wedding and you get to make the decisions.

My mom is my planner. Why would I hire someone?

If you are using someone that you are also inviting to your wedding, this is a BIG MISTAKE. I’m sure your mom, sister, aunt, friend may be willing to plan your wedding. It may sound like a great idea at first, but when you actually start the planning process you will realize that it was a mistake you will most definitely regret. You and all of your guests should enjoy the celebration of your special day. You should not be worried about the décor or bridal party line-up when you’re in the makeup chair. The wedding day goes by fast and that’s why each moment is so precious. You should have everyone with you enjoying all of the wedding festivities. Let us worry about the flowers, caterer, bridal party line-up, and so on. Your Mom should be front row watching you and your partner exchange vows – not watching your back or worrying about when the cake is supposed to arrive.

What is the difference between a wedding planner and a venue coordinator?

A venue coordinator is on-site only. The venue coordinator oversees on-site staff, food and drink selections, dinner service, etc.The venue coordinator’s main priority is to book more events and oversee all of the events at the venue. So during your rehearsal or event, they may have other clients coming in to tour the venue or be pulled away if there are multiple events that day. Hiring a wedding coordinator makes the venue coordinator’s job easier and ensures all of your wedding needs are met. A wedding coordinator is dedicated to your event and will work with you to make sure every aspect of your wedding runs smoothly, coordinate with all of your vendors, create and send out a detailed timeline, orchestrate the ceremony rehearsal, and make sure that you are enjoying your special day.

When do I need to send my wedding invitations?

Usually, invitations are sent out six to eight weeks before the wedding. This gives your guests plenty of time to clear their schedules. However, if you have a lot of guests from out of state or out of the country, give them four months notice so they can make travel and hotel arrangements.  

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. There will be an additional 3.75% fee for MC, Visa charges and 4% for Amex. Once you have submitted a deposit, to make things easier for you, you have the option of setting up automatic payments. We want to take the headache out of wedding planning and by choosing an automatic payment plan. You will never have to worry about remembering to send payment… instead your payments are broken down into three manageable payments.

What additional events do you service?

Anniversaries, Baby Showers , Birthdays, Bridal Showers, Debutante Balls, Eco-Friendly / Green Weddings, Engagement Parties,Graduations, Holiday Parties, LGBT Weddings / Ceremonies, Proms, Sweet 16s, Holiday Parties, and Corporate Events including conferences, workshops, and fundraisers.

How do you keep track of each client?

We utilize a digital client management tool to organize, track, and plan every event. As our client, you will also have access to this online portal, but if technology is not your thing, no worries. We still have our old-fashioned pen and paper system too
